Now since most places around the world have some form of European interaction, either via colonialism or merchant trading; Such a fruitful and delicious drink was quickly adopted, and other versions were created.
A close cousin to the sangria is the clericó found in Latin America.
Clericó, on the on the other hand, was adopted from the English Claret Cup. Similar to the sangria, it is based on red wines and fruits.
The meaning of Sangria in both Portuguese and Spanish is bloodletting. The drink recipes vary tremendously even in Portugal or Spain. The base of the drink remains the same.

As you may have guessed, there are many versions of this drink. However, traditional sangria is made of red wine, and fruits, some may add spices, water, and herbs.

How To Make A Virgin Sangria?
To make this gorgeous, girlie, sangria mix,you will need red grape juice, chilled orange juice, chilled cranberry juice, fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice, and ice cubes.
Fresh cut-up fruits and herbs such as rosemary for garnishing.
Add all the liquids in a suitable size pitcher, along with orange, lime, and lemon wedges or wheels, and stir. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours prior to serving.
When ready to serve, add ice andfruits, and lemon or limewedges to garnish. Serve immediately.

Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups Cranberry Grape Juice co*cktail
- 25.4 Fl. Oz. Sparkling Sangria Juice co*cktail
- ¼ cup Lime Juice
- 4 cups Club Soda
- Wedges: lemon, orange, and lime slices or wedges
- Ice
- Cranberries or fruit of your choice
Instructions
In a large bowl or pitcher, add all the lemon, lime, and orange wedges/slices.
Then add the liquids along with the lime juice. Add the cranberries or your favorite fruits.
Stir well to combine. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours prior to serving.
When ready to serve, add ice, fruits, and citrus slices to garnish. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
