What is cookie butter
-
Lynn says:
Biscoff cookie butter. You can usually find it in the aisle by the peanut butter. It's texture is like peanut butter or Nutella, but is Biscoff cookie flavored.
-
SkinnyMe says:
I made this recipe yesterday and coated the cookies with dark chocolates and my kids love them. Gone in just a minute. Yum!
-
MeganG says:
Tried these today. The taste is good, however mine are not coated like the photo in the recipe. Does that happen because of the boiling time? Followed the recipe exactly and mine are crumbling, not gooey. Thanks!

Cynthia says:
Girls, you may hate me or love me for this, but I just found it at my local Walmart in the Houston area. It is good enough to to eat out of the jar, too! Ready to make the no bake cookies!
-
Cyd says:
You are a girl after our own hearts!!! We love cookie butter out of the jar!! All you need is a spoon.
-
Cyd says:
Cookie butter is found by the peanut butter. It comes in different brands, but Biscoff cookie butter is found in most stores. If you live near a Trader Joe's, they have AMAZING cookie butter!!
-
Emily says:
Same happened to me today. Interested to hear what may have made the difference.
-
Valarie Swalve says:
Same thing here....did I do something wrong??
-
Shauna says:
Same here! Seems like there was not enough liquid.
-
Carol says:
What can be used instead of cookie butter?
-
Kristy says:
Don't bother with this recipe. It doesn't hold together in the slightest. I think it needs sugar or something. I noticed most of the other no bake cookie recipes have it. I wasted a whole jar of precious cookie butter. :(
-
Marketa says:
I doubled the milk, vanilla and butter and it turned out delicious. It was too dry before I did that.
-
HALEE WEBSTER says:
No bake cookies usually take 1 or 2 cups of sugar and these have NONE. This must be a typo.
-
JOAN MARSHALL says:
can we get cxookie butter in Canada
-
Valerie says:
Mine turned out the same way. They weren’t coated by the mixture like in the photo and the butter seemed to separate and pool under the cookies on my baking sheet.
-
Cheryl says:
Quick oats or old fashioned oats? Thanks
-
Cyd Adamson says:
We like quick oats, but either will work just fine.
-
Stephanie says:
No sugar? Is that a typo or do you really not boil sugar with the butter, milk and vanilla? I just tried to make these and they did not turn out. I use to make normal no-bakes all the time. Is it missing the SUGAR? I feel like it wasn't very sweet and it didn't hold together well. I did boil it. Not sure why it is a crumbly mess and not very sweet.
-
Stephanie says:
I use half quick and half old fashioned if I have both available.
-
Stephanie says:
I was thinking this too!! I didn't want to add sugar if it wasn't in the recipe but it definitely didn't turn out without it. I wish I would have gone with my gut instinct to add sugar!
